First Nations Peoples know this only too well; experiencing circa 43% legal fees to settle Indian Residential School Victims (IRSSV) settlements (and, reputedly, also, dipping into federal funds) ... while IRSSVs witnessed non-native sexually abused children in the same time period receiving 10 times the settlements from churches.
The test in these matters of justifiable legal fees for adequate legal advice may be gauged through examination of leading international EU political decisions (Airey v Ireland); as well as similar matters being weighed in Australia and the United States - i.e.,where the nation state is found to be duty bound to provide adequate funding for competent legal counsel of choice ... as would seem reasonable via the Elizabeth II Coronation Oath "... protect and preserve all customs and traditions of all Peoples of her domain ... in justice and mercy ... so help her, God (read Oath examination by English Laymen) ... enforceable within all commonwealth regions.
